Beaver Dam Community Television (BDCTV) is an independent, noncommercial, hyperlocal television station focused on the community of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. BDCTV's objective is to provide a wide-range of informative and entertaining shows that cover the people, places and events that are specifically relevant to folks who live in Beaver Dam.
For almost a century, television was delivered to communities through a network of large regional stations and a constellation of smaller, local stations. When these small stations were not broadcasting national network feeds, they used their airtime for shows created by and focused on their local communities. With the move to digital broadcast and streaming, this space for specialized local shows was lost. BDCTV joins a growing number of community television stations dedicated to restoring this source of locally-oriented programming.
BDCTV broadcasts via HLS and MPEG DASH streams of glorious Standard Definition in the classic television aspect ratio of 4:3.
